Update:  Tummy Troubles – 3rd & 4th Floor Neighborhoods

The tummy troubles affecting our 4th-floor neighborhood Residents has now, unfortunately, spread to a few Residents on our 3rd floor, and it has been confirmed that the Norovirus is the nasty cause.

We are taking every precaution to protect the health and safety of all our Residents and staff. We are isolating those who are ill, ensuring staff wear personal protective equipment, and frequently cleaning high-touch surfaces. To minimize the risk of further spread, Residents of our 3rd and 4th floor neighborhoods will remain on their respective floors for meals, activities, and family/friend visits.

While we are not restricting visitation, we strongly encourage that only essential visitors come by The Home to help limit exposure and prevent the spread into the outside community. The good news is that the Norovirus is typically short-lived (24-48 hours), and we anticipate that the situation will improve soon. The best way to protect everyone is through frequent hand sanitization or hand washing, so please be obsessive about using hand sanitizer/washing your hands thoroughly before and after every visit—and when in The Home.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Warmest regards,

Sherry Heppner
