Our flu outbreak has now, very unfortunately, caught up with our 4th floor neighborhood Residents as we have received test results confirming two additional cases. Symptoms among the affected Residents are not severe, and primary contacts for the Residents have been notified directly.
Following our established infection prevention measures, and to help contain further spread, Residents on both the 2nd and 4th floors are being served their meals and taking part in recreation activities within their own neighborhoods. These temporary actions are meant to help protect all Residents throughout The Home.
Visitation remains open and unaffected. Families/friends of our 2nd and 4th floor neighborhood Residents may continue to visit with their loved ones in their room/or common area on their respective floors. We encourage all visitors to be especially mindful of your own self-care precautions: please sanitize your hands frequently, wear a mask if asked to do so, and—most importantly—if you are feeling unwell, delay your visit until you are well again.
If your loved one has been asked to remain in their room, you will see signage posted and staff will provide direction on any necessary protective steps.
We will continue to provide updates as needed and offer the reassurance that our team is focused on providing the highest level of care and comfort to every Resident.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep our Home as healthy as possible.
Stay well! Let’s get all the cold and flu germs out of our systems so we can enjoy a joyful holiday season, free of coughs and sneezes!
Warmest regards,
Sherry Heppner
