This Thanksgiving, Give Thanks with a Gift That Gives Twice πŸ‚πŸ’›

Thanksgiving has a lovely way of reminding us to think about the people who make our lives richer β€” the family member who is always there, the friend who makes us laugh, the neighbour who lends a hand, or the host who somehow manages to bring everyone together around one table.

This Thanksgiving, we have a special way to say:Β  β€œI’m thankful for YOU.”  Consider making a gift to Rooms to Thrive in honour of someone special in your life.

It could be a thoughtful Thanksgiving hostess gift, a β€œThinking of You” gift, a birthday gift, or simply a meaningful way to recognize someone for whom you are especially grateful. And right now, that gesture of gratitude can do twice as much good.

Our Rooms to Thrive Matching Gift Campaign continues until October 16, which means every dollar donated will be matched β€” doubling the impact of your generosity for our Residents.

Giving online is easy. When donating through CanadaHelps – Rooms to Thrive, you can indicate that your gift is being made in honour of someone special, select an eCard from their online collection, and add your own personal message. CanadaHelps will send your greeting electronically to the person you are honouring, while your charitable tax receipt is issued to you as the donor.

Prefer to give by cheque? We can make that special too! Simply let us know that your donation is being made in honour of someone and provide us with their name and mailing address. The Home would be delighted to send a personalized card on your behalf letting them know that a gift has been made in their honour. Your charitable tax receipt will, of course, be issued in the name of the person who made the donation. (All cheques are to be made payable to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg and mailed or dropped off at The Home located at 276 Hugo Street North, Winnipeg R3M 2N6.)

We have accomplished so much through Rooms to Thrive, and we are getting closer to our goal β€” but there is still important work ahead as we continue creating warmer, brighter, and more comfortable spaces for the people who call The Home, home.

So, as Thanksgiving approaches, perhaps there is someone in your life who deserves an extra-special β€œthank you.”

Give thanks. Give in honour. And, for a little while longer, give twice the impact. πŸ‚πŸ’›

Every Gift Matched. Twice the Impact.

Because Home should feel like home.
