Happy (almost) New Year to You and Yours!
Ready or not – another year of possibilities is just around the corner, eagerly waiting to step in even as we are still saying our good-byes to 2024! This past year has been filled with unforgettable memories, from a pink-tinted Mother’s Day Tea to a Father’s Day car show that sparkled in the sun, all the way to a scrumpdillyicious Christmas dinner. Thank you for being part of these moments and for supporting us with both your presence and your generous financial contributions. Together, we made 2024 a year to remember for The Home and especially for those we care for and about.
If you are considering making a year-end gift, there’s still a smidgen bit of time to do so. The easiest and most efficient way is through CanadaHelps – TCHW, which ensures you will receive a 2024 tax receipt for donations made on or before December 31, 2024. For those preferring to mail a donation, please be aware that, despite the postal disruptions in December, the Canada Revenue Agency still requires donations to be postmarked by December 31, 2024, to count for this year. If you plan to mail your contribution, please ensure it is postmarked on or before December 31 and arrives within one week of New Year’s Day.
Looking ahead, 2025 brings with it its own share of uncertainties. While change can be unsettling, I remain (or try hard to remain) optimistic about the future. As I have learned from our Residents and their families, the key is to take that leap of faith, roll up your/our sleeves, and do the challenging work required to turn a dream into reality. And we have some big dreams for 2025!
So, here’s to embracing the unknown, taking bold steps forward, and making those dreams come true!
