Staying Connected in the Event of a Postal Strike

You may have heard in the news media that there is the potential for a postal strike to occur in the coming days IF a negotiated settlement isn’t reached between Canada Post and its unionized employees.

While we’re hopeful a strike will be avoided, we need your help to stay connected in case mail service is, unfortunately, disrupted. Our priority is ensuring that Residents’ monthly statements reach the designated family member/POA on a timely basis.

For all who currently receive a monthly statement, please let us know how you’d like to receive it IF a strike occurs. You can choose to have it emailed or pick it up at our Business Office (Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, excluding holidays).

To confirm your preference, please email me at including your full name, email address (even if we already have it 😊), your loved one’s name, and your preferred method for receiving the monthly statement in the event of a strike (i.e., emailed to you or pick up at The Home). Only the designated family member/POA who currently receives the monthly statement is asked to respond.

THANK YOU for helping us stay connected!  Again, we hope a strike will be averted, but we believe it’s still good to be prepared.  Just like the Scouts!

Warmest regards,

Sherry Heppner
Development Coordinator
