Manitoba Health has announced that starting May 1st, adults aged 65 years and older as well as those living in Long Term Care homes are eligible to receive a Spring Booster of the Covid-19 vaccine. They have made this decision based on previous years’ Covid-19 activity during the summer months.
The same vaccines (from Moderna or Pfizer) that we used in the Fall (targeted at the LP.8.1 variant) are expected to provide protection and strengthen immunity against any summer Covid activity.

After July 1st, immunizations will be paused until the Fall.
