Manitoba Health has announced that starting May 1st, adults aged 65 years and older as well as those living in Long Term Care homes are eligible to receive a “Spring Booster” of the covid19 vaccine. They have made this decision based on previous years’ covid19 activity during the summer months. The same vaccines (from Moderna or Pfizer) that we used in the Fall (targeted at the “KP.2” variant) are expected to provide protection and strengthen immunity against any summer covid activity.

If you have not been in contact with Justin, he will begin reaching out to families and having discussions with Residents later next week (which is already the start of May!).
