Premier’s Announcement – Manitoba Immunization Card

You may have watched/listened to Premier Pallister’s announcement (just this morning – June 8) regarding obtaining a Manitoba Immunization Card and the benefits this entitles you to enjoy – including increased visitation privileges in Personal Care Homes/health care facilities and more! (Full announcement details are available at: https://news.gov.mb.ca/news/index.html?item=51422&posted=2021-06-08)

We are awaiting clarification from the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) on the visitation implications for our Home which we anticipate receiving within the next day (or so). For the immediate timeframe – please continue to follow all of the visitation guidelines as have been previously communicated to you in regards to our Home/your loved ones. No change in our visitor guidelines are being implemented for now.

You have my/our word that as soon as we have received the pending WRHA direction, a further communication will be issued. (And, in the meantime – we encourage everyone who is eligible and able to go get your COVID-19 vaccine(s). If you have already received both of your vaccines and two weeks have passed since your last vaccine – please then apply for your Manitoba Immunization Card – at immunizationcard.manitoba.ca/.)

We all look forward to brighter days ahead!

Warmest regards,

Sherry Heppner
