The wait is over! Our first shipment of beautiful new furnishings for our four-Resident shared rooms is HERE, and we couldn’t be more excited!
This fabulous milestone is made possible by the remarkable generosity of our many wonderful supporters! There was a very real possibility that we would have to wait until 2027 to welcome these furnishings. But YOUR gracious gifts and belief in our vision of creating a warmer, more comfortable, and homey environment for our VIRs (Very Important Residents!) have helped make Christmas come early to The Home! 🎁❤️
Here’s what’s happening:
- Today’s Delivery: Furnishings (including nightstands) for one complete neighborhood of four-Resident shared rooms, to be installed on our 2nd floor/neighborhood.
- November Delivery: Furnishings for our two remaining neighborhoods of four-Resident shared rooms, to be installed on our 3rd and 4th floors/neighborhoods.
- Early 2027: The remaining new nightstands are expected to arrive for our 3rd and 4th floors/neighborhoods. In the meantime, the impacted Residents’ existing nightstands will remain in place.
A further head’s-up!
With the arrival of so many furnishings (even spread over multiple deliveries!) comes the not-so-glamorous business of unpacking, sorting, and installing everything. Our main floor may (will) temporarily become something of a furniture beehive, and we anticipate periods of buzzing activity and some temporary disruption as we work through the logistics. For everyone’s safety, certain areas of the main floor may also need to be temporarily closed or restricted.
We recognize that this may cause some inconvenience, particularly for our Residents, and offer the assurance that our team will do its utmost to minimize disruption and maintain Resident comfort and routines wherever possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this exciting next stage!
