You may ask… what is Giving Tuesday? It’s a global day dedicated to kindness and generosity.
Following the spending frenzies of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, people around the world come together to give back—supporting the causes and communities that matter most to them. It’s a beautiful reminder that the holiday season begins not with shopping, but with caring. And, that caring is “age-less”.
This year, we’re inviting our very own special community of supporters to direct that spirit of caring and giving toward Rooms to Thrive, our “Home revitalization” project bringing comfort, dignity, and beauty to every Resident’s living space.

You don’t have to wait for December 2 to show you care. Every donation—of any size—helps move Rooms to Thrive closer to the finish line. Gifts may be made online by credit card, PayPal, or Google Pay through our “Donate Rooms to Thrive” link to CanadaHelps, where donors can also choose to establish a recurring monthly gift. Contributions may be made in memory, or in celebration of a precious loved one who calls The Home their home.
For those who prefer to give by cheque, donations can be made payable to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg and mailed to 276 Hugo Street North, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N6.
To all who have given to our Home, our Residents, Rooms to Thrive – a 💖felt THANK YOU! If you haven’t yet had a chance to give, we hope you’ll consider making a year-end contribution to help us continue creating warm, welcoming rooms for our Residents that support their well-being and sense of belonging!
Warm regards,
Sherry Heppner
Development Coordinator
