COVID-19 Update – January 20, 2022 – The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg

Good day.

Although the frigid temperatures continue to linger out of doors (for us in Manitoba), it is cozy warm indoors and we have a “sunny” update to share regarding our COVID-19 status.

We have no new cases for either Residents or staff!

For our Residents, a large portion of our previously reported active positive cases have recovered, which is very good news! We currently have a total of four Residents who we are continuing to closely monitor, with their COVID-19 symptoms being mild. We are pending the results of two additional Resident tests/swabs. We repeat our assurances that we are doing all that we can with our infection control/prevention measures to put a halt to any further spread.  Should there be any change in the health status of your own loved one, the designated family member/friend will promptly be contacted on a confidential basis.

For our staff, we have only two of our team members who are presently absent from work due to testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation for our staff, and for your thoughts/prayers for our Residents!  All our families/friends make up an amazing community of encouragers and don’t we all need a bit of courage and encouragement these days.

Keep caring!  Keep being brave!  Keep health-safe!

Warmest regards,

Sherry Heppner
Development Coordinator
