COVID-19 Update – 3rd Floor Neighborhood Residents

We regret having to share that two of our Residents on the 3rd floor have tested positive for COVID-19 through rapid testing. They are currently experiencing mild symptoms, and we have notified their primary contacts. Should your loved one be tested or affected at any time, we will reach out to you directly based on our family/POA list.

While we await confirmation from the regular COVID-19 swab tests sent to Cadham Lab, we are implementing our established precautionary protocols to prevent further spread of the virus.

  • All Residents on the 3rd floor will receive their meals and participate in recreational activities exclusively within their neighborhood.
  • In-person visits are NOT impacted; for 3rd floor Residents’ families and friends, you may continue visiting your loved ones in their rooms or in the shared area on that floor.
  • When visiting, if a Resident is requested to stay in their room (indicated by signage on their door), we ask that you follow our personal protection guidelines, which include wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer.

We encourage everyone to regularly sanitize their hands to ensure the health and safety of all Residents (and yourself/your contacts outside of The Home). If you are feeling unwell, we ask you to kindly postpone your visit until you are feeling better.

We will keep you updated on the health status of our Residents as needed. The care and well-being of our Residents is always our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding and we are hopeful of a quick resolution.  We’re here for you and each other.

Warm regards,

Sherry Heppner
Development Coordinator
