Since our initial communique of August 25, two additional Residents on the 2nd floor have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, for a total of five Residents directly affected and all are exhibiting only mild symptoms such as a runny nose and cough.
We also have three staff members who tested positive for the virus and who are recuperating well at home. Please be assured that our staffing levels remain stable, and your loved ones are being cared for to our usual high standards.
In-person visitation continues to be on hold for our 2nd floor Residents, and although nothing can truly act as a substitute to sitting down together for a chat – we are happy to coordinate virtual visits with families/friends. If interested, please reach out via email to to arrange a bit of social online time with your loved one.
Thinking positively, I anticipate providing a further update later this week with the hope that we will be able to then share a date for the full safe resumption of families/friends’ visits to our Residents on all floors.
Warmest regards,
Sherry Heppner
Development Coordinator
