4th Floor Neighborhood Residents: Respiratory Symptoms

While many of us are enjoying summer holiday season, respiratory viruses unfortunately don’t always follow the calendar nor take vacation.

A small number of Residents in our 4th floor neighborhood are currently experiencing respiratory symptoms. Swabbing and testing are underway to determine the cause. We are able to share that the first Resident’s test results were negative for COVID-19, influenza, and RSV.

Out of an abundance of caution, and to help reduce the spread of illness, we have implemented the following measures:

  • 4th Floor Neighborhood: Residents will temporarily enjoy their meals and recreation activities within their own neighborhood. Only Residents who are feeling unwell are being asked to remain in their rooms until they are feeling better. Family and friends are welcome to continue visiting their loved ones in their rooms or in the common areas on the 4th floor.
  • 2nd and 3rd Floor Neighborhoods: Daily routines, including meals, recreation programs, and visitation, will continue as usual. No additional precautions are currently required.

How You Can Help

  • Please follow all posted signage regarding mask use and hand hygiene.
  • Clean your hands frequently to help protect yourself and our Residents.
  • If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you postpone your visit until you are feeling better. Your thoughtfulness helps protect our entire community.

We are closely monitoring all Residents for any signs of illness and are doing everything possible to ensure everyone remains comfortable and well cared for. Should your loved one require swabbing or testing at any time, you will be contacted directly.

We will continue to provide updates as appropriate. Thank you for your continued understanding, cooperation, and support as we work together to keep our Home healthy, safe, and connected.
