The Christmas decorations are making their way into stores, Hallmark holiday movies are back on our screens, and before we know it, we’ll be decking the halls here at The Home! And you know what that means… it’s time to talk TURKEY! 🦃🎄
We’re delighted to invite you to our 2026 Resident & Family Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 12, at 12:00 noon! It’s one of our favourite traditions — an opportunity to gather, share a delicious meal, and celebrate the warmth and joy of the Christmas season together.

🎄 When: Saturday, December 12, 2026
🕛 Time: 12:00 noon (one sitting only)
🍽️ On the Menu: A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings — lovingly prepared by our wonderful Dietary Team!
🎟️ Tickets: $45 per person (non-refundable)
Tickets go on sale TODAY and will be available until Monday, November 23 — or until we’re sold out, whichever comes first! And, as we know from experience, they do tend to disappear quickly!
A few friendly reminders:
- Tickets must be purchased in advance — unfortunately, we cannot accommodate drop-ins on December 12.
- Payment is by cash or cheque, payable to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. We encourage payment by cheque, but if paying by cash, exact change would be appreciated. Thank you!
- Tickets can be purchased and picked up at our Business Office, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Unable to pop in during office hours? Please be in touch with me, and I’ll be happy to make alternate arrangements.
- With our cozy dining space in mind, we kindly ask that dinner guests be 12 years of age or older.
You’ll also see posters popping up around The Home as little reminders to get your tickets early!
There’s something especially lovely about coming together at Christmas, and we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon filled with good food, wonderful company, and a generous helping of holiday cheer!
