Out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s health-safety, effective immediately, we are completely restricting visitation to/on our 3rd floor due to the COVID-19 outbreak. (Families/friends may continue to visit their loved ones who reside on our 2nd and 4th floors, adhering to the self-screening protocols implemented this week.)
We realize that this is a change in our advice/position of only a couple of days ago, but upon further consideration of wanting to protect against spread (on the Unit, in our Home and back out into the community), we are opting to implement this course of action. No family/friends are to visit on our 3rd floor, nor take 3rd floor Residents off the Unit/out of our Home. (Of course, exceptions will be made for end-of-life Resident visitation, and family members should connect with the Unit nurse to make any necessary arrangements.)
Presuming that no additional Residents are identified as testing positive for the virus – we anticipate being able to resume “business as usual” visitation throughout our Home early next week. Advice will be provided to you on a timely basis in this regard.
Thank you for your understanding of the situation! We are truly trying to act in such a way that is for the good of everyone as we do our part in trying to stem the spread both in our Home and our community-at-large.
Best regards,
Sherry Heppner
