Respiratory Virus Update – Positive Signs of Improvement

Further to our advice of January 3, we are pleased to share that the wellness check of our Home is showing positive signs of improvement.

There are no active cases of respiratory viruses affecting our 4th floor neighborhood Residents. Presuming that this holds true for the next few days, the impacted Residents will then be able to resume their regular activities/day-to-day routines on January 17th – including, as applicable, enjoying their meals in the Dining room, attending larger group Recreation programs on the main floor, as well as visiting with families/friends in any of our main floor seating areas.

For our 2nd floor neighborhood Residents, under the guidance of the regional health authority, we continue to maintain “outbreak” control measures into early next week; however, we are pleased to share that as of today, there are also no active respiratory virus cases.

In the meantime, for both affected floors, our Recreation team is providing on Unit programming either in small groups or on a one-on-one basis as we fully recognize the importance of engagement and life enrichment for all our Residents.

Family/friend visitation continues to be welcomed at The Home, and we ask only that if visiting with a Resident of our 2nd or 4th floor neighborhoods, that you please visit either in their room or in the floor’s communal seating areas.

As always, and even more so with this being prime virus season, please practice frequent hand sanitization and if you are feeling unwell, do stay home and plan your visit to The Home once you are feeling well again.

Remember to take good care of yourself, so that you can take care of others!

Best regards,
