Since our last update to you, we have had one additional Resident on our 3rd floor test positive for the COVID-19 virus bringing our total count to 15 Residents with confirmed positive test results. The majority of the impacted Residents are either asymptomatic OR exhibiting mild (cold-like) symptoms. A couple of the Residents who tested positive early on may actually come off precautions tomorrow (which is very good news!) presuming they continue to be asymptomatic.
Two staff members are also presently away from The Home, having tested positive for COVID-19.
We are, just today, pending test results from one Resident on our 2nd floor who is displaying possible COVID-19 symptoms.
We anticipate that 2nd booster shots will commence being given next week to those of our Residents who meet the criteria to receive, and we are in the process of reaching out to the designated family member/POA of each applicable Resident with full details.
It is expected that for, at least, the remainder of this week, our full suspension of all in-person visits will continue, as we do not wish to further (unknowingly) spread the virus to any visitors and subsequently have them take it back out into the community. As soon as we can restart our family/friend visitations, notice will be provided. PROMISE! Until then, the opportunity of arranging a virtual visit is available and may be scheduled by contacting our Recreation staff at .
