Our vigilance continues in managing the current COVID-19 outbreak at our Home. As at the sharing of this update, we have 13 positive Resident cases. This number does fluctuate as some of our Residents are now deemed recovered which is very good news to be able to report. We again offer our reassurance that our Residents have presented with only minor symptoms, and each is slowly improving. The Residents of our Home and elsewhere are made of tough stuff AND, the vaccinations/booster shots are, indeed, proving their worth!
With respect to our staff, we have four members who are absent from The Home due to receiving positive test results and this number also fluctuates for us, as some staff who were away have now returned to work. It has been inspiring to see how we have each other’s backs and how colleagues from every department are giving 110% to ensure the delivery of care to our Residents is not compromised.
Should there be any change in the health status of your own loved one, we promise that you will be personally contacted with advice. Unless there is a significant change in the status of our Residents/our Home, our next update will be shared on Monday, January 17.
