As conveyed this afternoon, we have two Residents on the 4th floor who have tested positive for the COVID virus. Out of an abundance of caution, and recognizing the fast-spreading nature of the virus, we will be swabbing all Residents on the 4th floor as quickly as can be accomplished. Test results may take a number of days (into next week) because of the sheer volume of tests being managed by labs in the City. Should your loved one test positive, this will be communicated with you directly.
An outbreak has now also been declared for our 2nd floor, because of Residents displaying COVID-like symptoms (however, test results are pending).
A staff positive case (not Resident) has been confirmed with respect to our 3rd floor and we are monitoring all Residents for any signs/symptoms.
I reiterate that the 4th floor Residents thus far confirmed as having positive test results are experiencing only mild symptoms of the virus.
We remain vigilant with heightened cleaning protocols and in our delivery of care to our Residents. You have entrusted your loved ones to us – and we will always do our best to never let you down.
