COVID-19 Update – April 22, 2022

Since our Tuesday update, to be thorough and, potentially, to try and get ahead of the COVID-19 virus (if that is even possible), we tested additional Residents on our 3rd floor. At this time, the lab results have confirmed 14 positive cases of the virus of which 6 Residents (who tested positive) are asymptomatic. The impacted Residents who are displaying symptoms are exhibiting cold-like concerns of a runny nose and cough. As shared previously, our Residents are all staying on their designated floors so there is no mixing between units to help contain any possible further spread.

We also have one staff member who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is recuperating at home.

We are monitoring and caring for all Residents to our usual high standards. One-on-one Resident engagements are being conducted with our Recreation staff. In-person visitation continues to be on hold and, although nothing can truly act as a substitute to sitting down together for a chat – we are happy to coordinate virtual visits with families/friends. If interested, please reach out via email to to arrange some social online time with your loved one.

Be assured that we are focusing much attention on the recovery of all impacted Residents. Fluids and more fluids are being encouraged for all Residents to ensure everyone stays hydrated. Additionally, and always, we are working very hard to stop any further spread of the virus with heightened cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

Our next update will be shared early next week.

Warmest regards,

Sherry Heppner
