Most regrettably, we share advice of a confirmed outbreak on our 3rd floor as we now have two Residents from different rooms testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Due to our outbreak status, and specific only to Residents on our 3rd floor:
- General visitation is suspended, for at least the next 10 days.
- Designated family/friend caregivers may continue to visit on Unit AND may be required to don additional personal protective equipment (gown and gloves), if visiting in a red or orange zone flagged room. (Posters will be in clear sight indicating the red and orange zoned rooms.)
For Residents on our 2nd and 4th floors, there are no visitation changes at this time.
We are most grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through the logistics of this outbreak. Our goal is to balance Resident, staff and visitor physical health-safety, as well as provide our Residents with the mental and emotional supports which are equally if not more so important.
Ongoing advice on our Home’s outbreak status will be provided as warranted.
Keep well!
Best regards,
Sherry Heppner
